Blackdot

Blackdot is seeking to transform the entire tattoo industry with the world’s first automated tattooing device. Part of their challenge early on was finding a dynamic way to present the conceptual device to potential investors.

Agence Beauvoir engaged in the massive project of building Blackdot a bespoke site which not only demonstrated the device with eye-catching visuals and transitions reflective of the actual black dot technology, but took investors on a complete journey through the networking potential and new artistic abilities of the tattoo revolution.

The task of creating the website visuals required me to re-model the Blackdot device for texturing and animation in 3D as well as create custom 3d environments for a gallery of tattoo examples. Various particle systems were used and integrated with the work of the web team and designers to create seamless, dynamic visuals as the user scrolls through the site.
